A traffic stopping set-up!

Wow! Well tonight saw Blinc, set-up and calibrate the Digital Projectors onto Conwy Castle for the weekend's Digital Arts festival, hosted by Conwy Feast. We can't help but feel excited here and judging by the reaction from passers by, that excitement is infectious!
What a truly stunning canvas Conwy Castle is going to be. Whatever you're doing, don't miss this, 7.15pm & 8.15pm Saturday evening really, really, don't miss it!......

Why we hate Polystyrene Trays!

We make no bones about it here at Conwy Feast, we HATE Polystyrene food trays!, their production isn’t in any way environmentally friendly, they don’t EVER bio-degrade, eventually they just break up into smaller pieces and their lightweight composition means that they find their way in our waterways and seas killing marine life, causing pollution and littering our streets.
We all feel quite strongly about this at Feast HQ and issued a ban on Polystyrene food trays from last years’ event on, any businesses' breaking this ban don’t get invited back. We are also working with local takeaways to try and persuade them of the evils of polystyrene, there are plenty of easily available alternatives.
Surely an extra few pence is a small price to pay for not having a disposable chip tray floating around our streets, countryside and waterways eternally?!.

Here we go again!

Phew. It only seems like a few weeks ago we were rushing round getting everything done for our 2010 event yet here we are with just over 3 months to go till the next one.

Thank you so much to everyone who helped, exhibited, traded, cooked, tasted, attended, ate, drank, played, sang, danced, and enjoyed your way through Gwledd Conwy Feast 2010. We hope you’ll be joining us again this year.

Demand for exhibitor space has been huge this year and we are already full with a long reserve list on the go, including producers from the very South of England who have heard how great our event is and want to travel over 300 miles to be a part of it. I’m sitting here with bits of paper like a jigsaw puzzle trying to fit everyone in, dreaming of all the yummy additions to my larder (if I get time to shop!).

On top of all the delicious food and drink available at the Feast, Conwy is full of wonderful small shops selling all kinds of lovely things, so it’s easy to get your Christmas shopping sorted as well as filling your cupboards with some of the best food around.

Now back to my jigsaw............
